Days of Our Lives icon Deidre Hall is going back to her sci-fi roots! While it’s been 50 years since she starred in the 1976 superhero adventure Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, the soap queen is taking a stab at the genre again — with a cameo in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
Hall will appear on an episode of the show, streaming exclusively on Paramount+ starting on Thursday, September 3. Before her turn as Strange New Worlds’ Dr. Chivers, Days’ Dr. Marlena Evans shared a few behind-the-scenes pics on Instagram. Along with photos that captured what looks like a fun-filled few days of filming, Hall revealed, “I had such an incredible time being part of the ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ universe! My experience on set was truly out of this world, and I’m so excited that I finally get to share that wth all of you.”
Fans jumped on the post, congratulated Hall and writing, “Amazing! You look so good on a starship, Dr. Evans!”, “I think this is so cool. I grew up watching Star Trek and Days of Our Lives“, “I absolutely cannot wait for this worlds collide moment, the collab that keeps going. Trek and Days forever,” and “This is so iconic.”
One fan even went so far as to add, “I hope they make an action figure of this character.” And honestly, so do we!
Hall’s fans also flocked to the Strange New Worlds subreddit, sharing their opinions on her cameo: “She was wonderful,” wrote one lucky viewer who had already watched the Star Trek episode.
Others seemed surprised about her stint on the sci-fi show, responding, “I never expected to see her in another role,” and “When she walked in, I practically screamed, ‘That’s Deidre Hall!’”
